Full Time Job
Employment Dates: 5/6/2019-8/9/2019
Considerations: Position works full time and is required to live and work from Sundance Resort approximately from early May to early August. Sundance Institute will provide meals and accommodations in a shared home when position is living from the Resort. Extended hours including working weekends and holidays will be required. Days off will rotate and not be consistent. Valid driver's license is required for position.
Position Summary: As a member of the Production Team supporting our summer labs and workshops, the Labs Coordinator is charged with tracking, distributing and returning equipment and provides team coverage and assistance to ensure all production needs are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Tracks donated, purchased, rented, and owned equipment for the Summer Lab programs.
• Ensures all equipment is received and shipped back to appropriate locations.
• Facilitates on-site collaboration with external and internal stakeholders, including assisting our content team so they can meet their deliverables, shot lists, photo setup, etc.
• Conducts ongoing equipment checks with crew chiefs, production and post-production supervisors.
• Coordinates physically moving equipment to and from storage, unpacks, inspects, and distributes equipment to appropriate on mountain locations.
• Receives and maintains art department inventory e.g.prop and furniture owned and stored by Institute.
• Reviews and codes equipment invoices and submits them by deadline while adhering to internal procedures.
• Completes timely accident forms for damaged equipment and ensures form is fully executed.
• Conducts necessary follow up to ensure insurance claims are processed as directed.
• Supports other areas of lab operations as needed and as directed.
• Acts as Production point person for all operational needs when scheduled.
• Updates documented procedures and completes a wrap report with suggestions for improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license and successful completion of DMV background check.
• 2 years experience in production, venue operations or related.
• Computer literate including Microsoft Excel and Google applications.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully with all levels of staff and a diverse group of personalities.
• Ability to manage expectations of others with excellent conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high pressure environment.
Preferred Education
, Experience, and Skills:
• Experience entering and tracking information in databases.
