Part Time Unpaid Internship
Considerations: Works part time from our Los Angeles, CA office and must commit to working 20 hours per week.
Position General Summary: The Episodic Program Intern will learn how to evaluate and provide feedback on work-in-progress pilot scripts, as well as gain administrative skills by participating in the script review process for the Episodic and Sundance Institute | YouTube New Voices Labs.
Essential Job Functions and Duties:
Assists with facilitating the artist submission process.
Reads and provides written feedback on submitted projects and work-in-progress pilots.
Maintains updated information in the FileMaker Pro and FluidReview databases.
Responds via phone and email to general inquiries from the public.
Researches and tracks up-and-coming writers and creators and reports on findings.
Plans year-round department events and special projects as directed.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Excellent computer skills, including comprehensive understanding of Google Apps and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including line editing abilities.
• Proactive, detail oriented, and has analytical skills.
• Must have a strong interest in episodic storytelling and knowledge of this space.
• Must have previous internship experience.
Preferred Education
, Experience and Skills:
• Degree or working towards a degree in television or film.
• Experience working with databases.
Interest in digital storytelling platforms and artists utilizing those platforms.
