Part Time Unpaid Internship
Employment Dates: April 8- August 30, 2019
Considerations: This internship will work part-time in our Los Angeles office and primarily work 16-20 hours per week.
Learning Opportunities: The Creative Producing Intern will provide administrative and programmatic support to the Creative Producing tracks in both the Documentary Film Program and Feature Film Program, working primarily to support organization of the Creative Producing Labs & Summit. Through this internship the intern will gain insight into the independent producing landscape and understanding of the Sundance Institute Artist Development programs, while strengthening valuable administrative skills.
Essential Job Functions and Duties:
• Assists with processing Creative Producing applications including:
• Prepares candidate materials for selection committees, outside consultants, and internal staff selection meetings.
• Sends stage notification emails
• Actively participates in selection discussions
• Supports creating the Creative Producing Lab & Summit book including:
• Tracking, collecting, and organizing text and images from participants.
• Editing text and photos and laying out text and images in correct format.
• Schedules program material deadlines to ensure they are created by set timeframe.
• Schedules Summit Fellow and Industry meetings.
• Performs data entry and proofreading of Summit guest materials.
• Formats and prints labels, tent cards, and other signage as directed.
• Prepares materials for Lab attendees and welcome packet materials for Summit guests.
• Researches production and financing companies and enters updated information in database.
• Updates program alumni lists and records.
• Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
• Employee has legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proactive, detail oriented, and organized in order to prioritize workload.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google products.
Preferred Education
, Experience and Skills:
• Experience proofreading text for clarity, grammar and punctuation.
• Working knowledge of database systems.
• Bachelor's degree or working towards a degree in Film or related field.
• Experience working in an office environment.
