Employment Dates: 1/21/2018-2/3/2018
Considerations: This position works full time in our Park City New Frontier venue. May be lodged in Park City during the January Film Festival. Required to work extended hours, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet deadlines. Must be willing and available to respond to on-call needs as assigned. A high level of mobility is required.
Position General Summary: Supports attending New Frontier artists during the Sundance Film Festival by presenting their work of art to patrons and guests utilizing the messaging provided by the artist.
Essential Job Functions and Duties:
• Provides input during daily ops meetings with the team and artists.
• Learns about each of the attending artists and their exhibitions in order to communicate to patrons.
• Ensures thorough understanding of the equipment that's associated with the exhibitions in order to assist patrons.
• Is actively available to present and appropriately message details of each exhibit with patrons during the artists absence.
• Provides daily training to assigned volunteers and directs them to facilitate operations.
• Provides general troubleshooting of the equipment and escalates as necessary.
• Provides daily reports on all technical issues that occur during shift, including how it was resolved to team.
• Conducts general maintenance of tech equipment (cleaning, resetting, etc.) after each showing as directed.
• Tallies the number of patrons who visit each individual exhibition and provides a daily report to manager.
• Proactively walks through the venue to clear and ensure space is safe from possible hazards.
• Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Experience working with Virtual Reality (VR) equipment.
• Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal and professional skills required to work effectively with a variety of people.
• Excellent organizational skills including self-management of work schedule.
• Able to facilitate positive customer relations.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 30 lbs.
• Able to stand and walk for long durations 12 hours a day.
Preferred Education
, Experience and Skills:
• Basic knowledge of audio/video equipment.
