Festival Coordinator, Salt Lake City Theaters
Seasonal Employment Dates: 12/17/2018-2/22/2019
This position works full time in our Park City, UT office leading up to and after the Film Festival. During the Film Festival, this position primarily works in the Salt Lake valley to coordinate theater operations specific to our SLC based theaters to ensure efficiency and a positive audience experience.
Applicants will need to be able to work extended hours that include some evenings, weekends and holidays to ensure deadlines are met and to respond to on-call needs. Additionally, a high level of mobility, an ability to safely drive in winter road conditions and a valid driver's license is required. After a contingent offer is made you will be required to complete a DMV background check which will indicate if you are authorized to drive for work purposes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates operational and logistical duties to support SLC Regional Manager.
Assists with organizing, developing, and delivering training to staff and volunteers at designated theaters.
Coordinates assigned theater volunteers for successful operations.
Assists with auditing theatre bible pages in FileMaker Pro.
Provides regular communications to theater volunteers on operational information, as directed.
Assists with setting up and configuring theaters to ensure design meets predetermined standards.
Assists with documenting theater configurations with photos and diagrams, and tracks pre and post inventory of equipment.
Coordinates various theater operations including maintaining on-time performance, optimization of waitlist sales/seating, etc.
Ensures logistical, personnel or audience issues at theaters are addressed immediately and escalates issues to Manager, Theater Operations as needed.
Provides on-site coordination for the load-in and load-out of assigned theatres.
Coordinates pre and post Festival walkthroughs.
Writes a comprehensive written wrap report as directed.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Valid driver's license and successful completion of DMV background check.
2 years experience in venue or event operations or related.
Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written.
Strong interpersonal and professional skills required to work effectively with a variety of people.
Excellent organizational skills including self-management of work schedule.
Ability to work nights and weekends around events and key deadlines.
Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Education
, Experience, and Skills:
Working knowledge of databases along with proficiency in Google Products.
