Coordinator, Human Resources (Talent)
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Coordinator, Human Resources (HR) is charged with facilitating the recruitment and hiring process for seasonal and year-round Sundance Institute employees. The Coordinator will also serve as a first point of contact for prospective employees and new hires, facilitating onboarding and helping to create a positive and inclusive employee experience.
Working closely under the Manager, Talent, the Coordinator must be committed to growing and empowering a more inclusive community within our organization through equitable hiring practices that support the Institute's initiatives and goals. This full-time position is based out of Park City, Utah with regular opportunities to work remotely. Extended hours will be required at key points throughout the year. Travel to Institute offices and events may also be required.
Top priorities include but are not limited to…
• Driving the full cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, assessing, and interviewing all while fostering strong candidate relationships through all communications.
• Working collaboratively with Institute departments to recruit qualified candidates by guiding and consulting on recruitment processes and ensuring job descriptions are aligned to job title, clearly written, legally compliant, and inclusive to attract top talent.
• Researching and proposing best practices for full-cycle recruitment programs, with a focus on diversity and inclusion to provide equitable and intentional evaluative processes.
• Supporting new hire communications, onboarding and offboarding, entering and updating records within our Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
• Supporting the team in implementing new or improved processes and with other ongoing HR team projects.
• Helping to establish and maintain partnerships with universities and community organizations, to build robust and diverse talent pipelines.
• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements and laws and that Institute recruitment and selection guidelines are followed.
• Generating and issuing new hire paperwork.
• Conducting employee, intern, volunteer orientations, including scheduling orientations, communicating information to new hires, fielding questions, arranging presenters from the Technology and Admin teams, and facilitating the orientation.
• Facilitating required trainings, including organizing and presenting materials, and working to ensure training is captured and available for reference in our learning management system, Litmos.
• Supporting the Senior Manager, Talent with volunteer recruitment, placement, and related projects as needed.
• Maintaining department databases to ensure accurate employee data and running reports as requested.
• Researching and suggesting new opportunities to better the employee and applicant experience, including partnering with the Human Resources Administration team on ways to improve retention and engagement.
• Supporting in the implementation of offboarding and performance review procedures.
• Providing administrative support to the department, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and correspondences.
• Acting as a department point of contact and liaison for inquiries, including providing timely and accurate correspondence to answer questions, detail department processes, and route needs.
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• 2 years of related work experience in HR, people operations, or recruiting.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work with a variety of individuals.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office applications.
• Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
• PHR certificate preferred.
