Coordinator, Human Resources (Talent)
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Coordinator, Human Resources is responsible for coordinating tasks and duties across a range of HR related functions. This position will work with the existing HR team to support recruiting, new hire communications, onboarding and offboarding, entering and updating records within our HRIS. The Coordinator will also work on a variety of other projects that focus on employee engagement, diversity, and inclusion to build and maintain a positive and healthy employee experience.
Working closely under the Associate Director, Human Resources, the Coordinator must be committed to growing and empowering a more inclusive community within our organization. They will contribute to this through hiring and cultivating diverse teams to support the Institute's initiatives and goals. This position works full time and may work extended hours to meet deadlines and work events. Travel to Institute offices and events may be required.
Top priorities include but are not limited to…
• Working collaboratively with Institute departments to recruit qualified and diverse candidates and to provide objective evaluative processes and advise on current and future labor needs.
• Establishing and maintaining partnerships internally and externally with universities and community organizations, to build robust and diverse talent pipelines.
• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Driving the full cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, assessing, and interviewing all while fostering strong candidate relationships through multi-line communications.
• Generating and issuing new hire paperwork.
• Facilitating and conducting new and rehire employee, intern, volunteer orientations.
• Working with hiring managers to ensure job descriptions are aligned to job title, clearly written, legally compliant, and inclusive to attract top talent.
• Maintaining and tracking department databases to ensure accurate employee data and running ad-hoc reports as requested.
• Researching best practices for full cycle recruitment programs, with a focus on diversity and inclusion, and implementing them across the organization.
• Looking for any opportunities to better the employee experience partnering closely with the Admin team on new and engaging ways to attract and retain talent.
• Collaborating with the Talent team to establish onboarding plans and content, including booking conference rooms, ensuring all trainers present valuable content by proactively collaborating with all stakeholders.
• Supporting the creation and implementation of offboarding and performance review procedures.
• Providing timely, accurate, and professional correspondence to internal and external inquiries.
• Supporting ongoing HR team projects.
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• 2 years of related work experience in HR, people operations, and/or recruiting.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively influence individuals of varying backgrounds and learning styles.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Fantastic time management and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office applications.
• PHR certificate preferred.
