POSITION OVERVIEW
The Business Analyst will act as a liaison between product teams and digital teams working closely in tandem with the Digital Product Owners, Project Managers, and Digital Leads assessing current processes, products, and future needs of the Institute. The position is also charged with helping to create project requirements from a technical perspective and deliver recommendations to key stakeholders based on their analysis of digital capabilities and business needs. This will involve achieving the best solutions for optimizing forms of communication, aligning timelines, and collaborating with project sponsors to determine scope and vision for each department's goals.
Working closely under the Senior Manager, Business Analyst and in the Technology Services Department, the Business Analyst assists with digital priorities while keeping alignment with current product needs to ensure expectations are being met within projected timelines. This position works full time and will be required to work extended hours including evenings and weekends at key points throughout the year. Occasional travel to other Institute offices and events may also be required.

• Outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions for business requirements.
• Analyzing, specifying, and validating project needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
• Working to define business requirements and feasibility for projects from a technical perspective.
• Identifying and creating actionable data-driven plans for improving current processes, projects, products, and efficiencies within the business from a results based mindset.
• Initiating and leading projects that are based around process improvements.
• Acting as a pathway for communication to ensure alignment between tech team needs and business goals, advocating for both in order to achieve success.
• Assisting team leads with other duties as assigned that are aligned with current projects.
You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• 3 years of relevant experience working live, online, or hybrid events from the technical department.
• Associates, bachelor's, or certificate program in computer science, or related, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of festivals and their technical components.
• Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required to work effectively with a wide variety of people.
• Working knowledge of databases along with proficiency in Google Products, including Google Analytics.
• Excellent organizational skills with a strong initiative and ability to self-manage workload.
• Ability to work nights and weekends around events and key deadlines.
• Working knowledge of Jira and Asana is a plus.
• Proficiency working with content management systems is nice to have.
• Experience working with Stripe or other payment processing platforms preferred.
