We are looking for an executive / development assistant to join the fast-growing drama team at Submarine, one of Europe's leading drama, animation and documentary production companies. The role will be to assist executive producer, alongside supporting the drama and documentary departments with both development and production assistance. Working as part of a small and fast-paced team, the role is suited to someone with a deep passion for scripted television drama, feature film and documentary. A good working knowledge of TV drama is required; experience of reading and analysing scripts and novels, and a working knowledge of TV/Film writers and directors, is preferred; passion, energy, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn is essential.
Applicants must be proactive, adaptable team-players who are also able to work well independently. You should bring a can-do approach alongside the ability to multi-task and work across multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Some flexibility with working hours is also required, with the founder based between LA and Amsterdam. Based out of our London office, with opportunity for travel to Amsterdam, this role is perfect for someone looking for the next step in their career, working alongside a supportive, creative and international team. We are working with a diverse array of talent, including established international names and exciting up and-coming talent, and you will be directly responsible for helping development on various projects.

Role includes:
o Provide overall production support and assistance to creative director and producer
o General administrative assistance: scheduling calls and meetings, taking notes, booking travel and
accommodation, including festivals and markets
o Developing and maintaining contacts with international internal and external parties
o Creative research & development for TV series and documentaries
o Creating and maintaining a development slate, and support building creative pitch documents and
materials (decks, one sheets, etc)
o Writing analysis / coverage of scripts, novels, pitches, treatments etc.
o Management of document flow, including creating and maintaining files (electronic and hard copy),
keeping across the updates and status of all productions
Must Have Skills:
o Passion/love for scripted TV, film, documentary
o Some experience of reading scripts, novels etc.
o Excellent written & oral communication skills
o Organized multi-tasker with attention to detail, maintaining complex scheduling, often juggling
multiple time zones, alongside travel itinerary and administrative support
o Self-starter and proactive personality
o Understanding of production protocols & workflow
o Team-oriented nature, willing to pitch in where needed
o The ability to think on your feet, think ahead & anticipate next steps
o Proficient with Excel, Keynote and Zoom
o Assistant or coordinating experience, working knowledge of entertainment industry and workflow.
o Experience in drama and/or documentary production

o Must be based in London
