Busy stop motion & 2D animation studio is seeking an experienced candidate to support the the HR Department (also knows as the Buddy Resources Department). The HR Generalist is responsible for performing human resource administrative work and providing analysis of various human resource programs and initiatives. Performs a wide variety of human resource services which may include benefits administration, recruitment/selection, performance reviews, employee relations, classification/compensation plans, health and safety.
Essential Functions:
*Assists in Coordinating the recruitment process including advertising position openings, screening applications; scheduling interviews and defining selection criteria.
*Maintains company HRIS including posting updated job descriptions, benefits information, employment resources and ensures current job openings are posted; maintains employee personnel records and medical files, enters personnel data and runs the onboarding and offboarding program, creates and maintains detailed spreadsheets used to track personnel data.
*Researches, develops and administers insurance plans, (i.e. medical, dental, vision); conducts new employee orientation; administers employee benefit statements, LOA's, service awards, transportation plans, disability and unemployment.
*Advises employees and distributes information regarding benefits, compensation, policies and procedures; provides assistance and staff support to departments/divisions as requested; answers public inquiries concerning job openings, employment verifications, and general information.
*Assists with administration of the classification and compensation plan, including updating job descriptions, classifying and reclassifying positions and conducting salary surveys.
*Assists with administration of the performance evaluation program; answers technical questions, and updates employee information in the system.
*Assists in conducting human resource policy and program research and development projects, including developing research format, collecting data, formulating results, and regularly creates reports regarding employee benefits, personnel changes, and other human resource activities; makes employee handbook updates and assists in the implementation and application of new and existing personnel policy.
Required Education and Experience:
*Bachelor's degree in human resources, public administration or related field
*Three to five years of human resource experience with generalist responsibilities.
Preferred Education and Experience:
*SHRM-SCP/SPHR or SHRM-CP/PHR certification.
*Advanced Excel knowledge
