Title: Marketing Coordinator
Reports to: Marketing Manager
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Marketing team in a variety of initiatives. With primary responsibility for marketing programs for our exciting new G League affiliate, the Stockton Kings, this person will focus on driving brand and revenue initiatives for this new franchise. In addition, the Marketing Coordinator will assist with efforts for the Sacramento Kings and Golden 1 Center, with direction from the Marketing Manager.
Key Responsibility Areas:
• Effectively works with Marketing, Creative Services, and other departments to execute marketing and media campaigns.
• Supports the Marketing department in project coordination and internal client communication.
• Represents the internal client throughout the project management lifecycle, ensuring that the highest quality of work is organized and delivered on time.
• Responsible for the planning and execution of marketing promotions.
• Serves as the point of contact for all promotional agreements (paid and trade) for the Stockton Kings.
• Manages relationships with media partners, agencies, and vendors, as necessary, to coordinate the promotions and deliver assets.
• Builds effective brand awareness, lead generation, and ticket sales marketing initiatives.
• Uses Eloqua to develop targeted email campaigns to drive event attendance, ticket sales, and the distribution of engaging content for fans.
• Works closely with the Digital team to ensure promotions are represented on StocktonKings.com and relevant social channels.
• Develops tracking mechanisms for each campaign to help evaluate overall effectiveness, identify strengths, and opportunities.
• Works closely with other departments to ensure their deliverables are on-brand.
• Coordinates the design, ordering, and distribution process for promotional items.
• Assists in the management of the team's marketing budget.
• Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with all departments.
• Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves unusual/adverse situations and makes sound decisions based on available facts and resources available.
• Evaluates department processes and develops recommendations and implementation plans to improve those processes.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager.
Qualifications:
• Ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook a must.
• Experience with email and marketing automation tools (i.e. Eloqua) preferred.
• Knowledge of project management tools and concepts preferred.
• Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be creative with the ability to conceptualize and develop marketing strategies and solutions.
• Exceptional writing and proofing skills.
• Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
• Must be willing to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of full-time work experience preferred.
• Marketing or Advertising Agency experience preferred.
