Part Time Unpaid Internship
Expectations: Assists in the coordination, organization, implementation and follow-up activities related to ticket sales, retention and operations.
The Sales Support Intern will also participate as a Stage Manager, on game days. As a Stage Manager, this intern will assist in the coordination and execution of all live elements (i.e. in-game promotions, live performances, ceremonies, and presentations) during Stockton Kings home games and events, as needed.
Sales Support Responsibilities:
• Assist team with Fan Experiences, Sales Events, general office duties, and membership fulfillment
• Performs necessary logistical duties needed to execute promotions and campaigns, e.g. assembling prize packs, gift redemption, collecting entry cards.
• Responsibilities may also include assisting with database marketing/management activities.
• Organize and manage large group activities.
Stage Manager Responsibilities:
• Assist and participate during rehearsals, including: sound checks (anthem singers, host/emcee mics, communication devices, etc.), opening introductions, in-game promotions, intermission activities, ceremonies, special effects, performers, color guards, etc.
• Prep and manage props and other materials that will be used during the course of the game/event.
• Will act as a liaison between management to set up and cue talent.
• Successfully execute all scripted elements and improvised elements as required and as assigned.
• Work with camera operators to block and set up live promotions while coordinating with contestants, hosts, mascot, promotional team, and additional talent.
• Responsible for ensuring that all in-game elements occur promptly at their pre-designated time, and are executed accurately.
• Promptly relay any and all information to the Entertainment Management should any problems/issues/changes to scripted elements occur.
• Ensure all promotions and activities are accurately and clearly communicated and explained to any/all participants.
Requirements:
• Experience catering to the customer and exceeding expectations.
• An in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a friendly, professional, personable, and outgoing individual.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude; committed to teamwork.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience in promotions, marketing, and customer service preferred.
• Prior knowledge of game presentation/production a plus.
• Must be detail oriented and work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment.
• Must be available to work every 2018-2019 Stockton Kings home game (nights, weekends, holidays).
