STEWART/WHITLEY is seeking a full-time casting intern to begin END OF SEPT/START OF OCTOBER. Must be available to interview NEXT WEEK.
Looking for smart, pleasant, motivated individuals with terrific organizational and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who wants to learn about all aspects of theatrical casting from the ground up and will bring a positive attitude into the office and the casting room. A sense of initiative and strong communication skills are key; a good sense of humor and thick skin are a plus.
Prior experience in a casting office or talent agency/representation office is REQUIRED. Knowledge of theatre, musical theatre and pop culture is an asset. We emphasize hands-on training and are looking for someone who will be a vital member of our team -- the ability to work with minimal supervision on individual projects is a must. Actors need not apply.
Responsibilities include preparing audition sessions, contact with agents, managers, and other theatrical professionals, answering phones, various research etc. The intern will also work directly with the casting team reviewing agent submissions, creating idea lists, preparing audition sessions, and assisting in the auditions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Knowledge of BreakdownExpress, Casting Networks, GoogleDocs a plus.
