Primary Responsibility:
The Strategy and Business Development Manager will be responsible for the research, analysis, and presentation of prospective new business opportunities, including new ventures, partnerships, joint ventures, and original programming initiatives that create enhanced business potential and revenue streams across digital and traditional systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed research into viability of new business opportunities.
• Prepare financial models of costs, return on investment, including short and long term financial goals.
• Analyze risks and rewards of initiatives, and prepare recommendations for managing both.
• Work closely with Senior Leadership in the creation of presentations that clearly communicate all aspects of new business opportunity.
• Research trends in media, popular culture, film, television and related technology and use knowledge to recommend business initiatives.
• Track results during and after implementation against plan, prepare presentations and communicate results.
• Recommend changes/tactical shifts based on results.
Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
• Minimum five years direct experience in strategic business development and financial analysis; Experience in developing business models for media, communications, technology, or multi-channel television preferred; Tenure at strategic/financial consulting firm preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven quantitative and qualitative research skills, and familiarity with various forms of research services and practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects from planning to implementation.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels within an organization, and work cross-functionally to drive results.
• Superior written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Fluent in all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Project software applications.
