Job Description:
- Talent Procurement
o Lead the talent procurement process for public relations, advertising, digital and influencer seeding campaigns
o Participate in internal talent casting/brainstorming sessions
o Conduct talent outreach and research to developed network of agents, managers, publicists, etc.
o Manage talent vetting and background checks
o Monitor entertainment social media channels, blogs, publications and broadcast channels for information relevant to starpower clients in order to proactively provide updates, entertainment information and pitch talent led opportunities to brand through to negotiation and execution
o Leverage network to identify entertainment content opportunities (e.g. integration, sponsorships, etc.)
o Develop of client-facing materials, including casting sheets, scopes of work, formal offer letters, contracts and recap documents
o Ability to negotiate through from scope of work to contract on behalf of brand and agency clients; includes liaising with internal legal teams
o SAG management including working with signatories to confirm allocations and financial implication of allocations, budget management and payment
o Knowledge of FTC guidelines and requirements for social
- Campaign Management
o Facilitate talent approvals of campaign materials
o Track/document all talent approvals
o Drive coordination of logistics
o Oversee campaign deliverables based on talent contracts
o Maintain Contract Tracker for each campaign
- Client Service/Administrative
o Ability to lead client communications
o Attend regularly scheduled and sporadic client conference calls
o Attend in-person meetings with clients and agency partners
o Participate in planning sessions from ideation to tissue session to final presentation; proficient in creating client sell in materials
o Participate in business pitches; presentations to clients and prospective clients
o Assist in the overall growth of the agency, including new business & networking
Job Requirements
- Personal
o Passion for entertainment (entertainment, sports, music, fashion and beauty), and the business of entertainment
o Strong knowledge of pop-culture, including celebrities, athletes, musicians, digital talent, etc.
o Digital/social media savvy
o Creative, flexible and self-motivated
- Work Experience, skills and education
o 7-10 years of talent procurement/buying experience
o Experience interacting with brands, agencies (public relations & advertising), athletes, celebrities, agents, managers & publicists
o Ability to supervise and license music
o Strong relationships with entertainment agents, managers, publicists, and other entertainment properties
o Strong written and verbal skills
o Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
o Bachelors degree; preferred if degree is in a relevant course of study; e.g. business administration, sports management, integrated marketing communications (marketing, PR, advertising)
