Overview-
Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E) is seeking a creative and energetic community manager to join our family! The person in this role will actively develop, grow and engage our fans for our Spurs Sports Academy (SSA) and Spurs Give (SG) non-profit organization. We're looking for the ultimate team player who is a blend of both content creator and social media distributor. This position requires a candidate who is collaborative, curious to learn and above all, passionate about impacting the community.
Our ideal candidate will immerse themselves in the social media culture, while developing a deep understanding of youth sports and community services. He/She will demonstrate that they are a digital native with an inherent understanding of best practices and user behavior on each respective social platform, while ensuring our social content is optimized for success. They will be eager to learn about the business side of digital, how content is developed and be a key player in creating and evangelizing digital best practices internally. Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains a daily/weekly/monthly social media calendar for both organic and branded content.
• Maintains brand voice consistency across all social platforms.
• Works with multiple departments and stakeholders to create, copy-edit and post social media content where applicable.
• Proactively interacts, engages and communicates with fans via social platforms.
• Helps educate other departments within the organization on the ever-changing world of social media. Effectively handle content requests, deliverables, organic posts and paid post commitments.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, moving seamlessly between youth league and community activities and tasks - coming up with creative ideas, turning those ideas into fast-moving micro-content, and distributing to the right audience.
• Attend and capture content at both SSA and SG events in collaboration with other content producers.
• Effectively communicate, interact professionally, and provide excellent customer service with teams, coaches, families, guests, officials and players during all events.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
• 2-3 years experience managing or producing social content.
• Bachelor's degree or similar experience.
• Understanding of content and creative development processes.
• Video shooting and/or editing preferred.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite / Photoshop (Premier a plus)
• Skilled at photography via a variety of devices or cameras.
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Extensive knowledge in social media platforms and emerging tech in social media.
• Must be able to work long, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent organizational skills and proven attention to detail.
