Headquartered in Los Angeles, SPOTLIGHT CINEMA NETWORKS is the cinema advertising industry leader in reaching affluent, educated, influential adults through its nationwide network of arthouses and luxury theatres. In December 2017, SPOTLIGHT launched CINELIFE ENTERTAINMENT, to distribute event cinema and alternative content for theatrical release in North America, and is looking for a theatrical sales executive to join our SPOTLIGHT and CINELIFE team. This position will be responsible for securing theatrical bookings for all CINELIFE releases and will report to the EVP of Exhibitor Relations and Operations.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with heads of distribution and acquisition to devise sales and distribution strategy for all CineLife Entertainment releases.
• Manage the sales of all CineLife Entertainment releases in assigned DMAs and exhibitors within North America.
• Develop and maintain CineLife Entertainment sales materials.
• Maintain MLA submissions and theatre database.
• Manage CineLife Entertainment in-theatre marketing initiatives; trailer placement requests, and all in-theatre marketing materials.
• Develop and maintain good exhibitor relations.
• Participate in industry events/conventions.
• Assist in various projects as needed.
• Create ad hoc reports as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in theatrical motion picture sales and distribution.
• Manage and prioritize projects, timelines, and deals effectively.
• Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships and to work well in a team environment.
• Able to think strategically, capable of working independently, and manage a variety of initiatives/issues simultaneously.
• Proven knowledge on business issues, trends, and technological advances in theatrical motion picture industry.
• Must be highly organized, detail oriented and customer service/solutions focused.
• Must have strong communication (verbal and written) and critical thinking skills.
• Must be self-starting, flexible and willing to operate within a team environment.
• Must be able to make quick sound judgments and communicate effectively with colleagues, superiors and external vendors.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Strong PC skills and Microsoft Office experience, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of FileMaker and similar CRM software a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Some in-theatre marketing experience.
• BA/BS or 5 years relative sales experience.
