Job Description
SEE is looking for an independent contractor to come on as Creative Designer/Project Manager and oversee the suite of SEE projects with a concentration on our latest project, a large scale outdoor touring exhibit that will open to the public in November 2019 in California. If the exhibit proves successful, there will be follow up locations within the United States and abroad and this could transition into a full-time position.
This role includes working on-site during the run of the show to manage staff & maintenance crew. We are looking to hire ASAP.
-Responsible for the successful development, production, and management of exhibit including coordinating the set production with SEE and the Chinese Set Builder and overseeing shipping & transportation to and from venue.
-Responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within project(s).
-Responsible for sourcing art department personnel as needed.
-Managing and tracking cost efficiency of project in conjunction with Accounting Department.
-Project management and allocation of resources on projects, including liaising with Chinese production manager and team, venue, marketing, and SEE.
-Coordinating with venues for staffing and personnel
-Achieve set annual revenue targets.
-Involvement in financial forecasting for revenues for future tour stops and/or similar projects.
-Serve as company representative and liaison with head office when exhibition is on display outside of Los Angeles
Qualifications
-5+ years of production experience required, specifically as a producer/designer/creative director.
Requirements:
-Must have exhibition production/management experience.
-Extensive experience in production/operational environments.
-Some graphic design background. Ability to work in CAD a plus
-Must be able to work independently and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
-Ability to build and maintain rapport with clients and staff.
-Attention to detail and constantly looking for ways to improve operational efficiencies within a business environment.
-Proficient user of resource management tools and Microsoft Excel.
-Pro-activity and ability to demonstrate a desire for producing work of the highest quality.
-Ability to travel within the US and abroad.
-Ability to speak Chinese (Mandarin) a major plus but not required.
