Spark Music Group is a boutique music management company that represents prominent and multi-talented producers, songwriters, film composers, and mixers. Ollie, the principal of Spark, needs his right-hand management assistant to help with every aspect of the business, from submitting cue sheets to handling high pressure client relationships. Every day is a little different, we need someone that's intuitive to the daily changing needs of our business and someone who will work hard.
You:
Self-starter
Effective multi-tasker
Exceptionally detail-oriented
Music obsessed with business focus
Reflective & receptive to feedback
Knowledgeable about music, film & tv industries.
(Preferred: Downtown / Northeast / East LA based)
Required Background:
Bachelor's degree
6 months+ music industry internships or jobs
Visa or citizenship to work in the US
Fast & grammatically accurate English typer
Have a driver's license & car
Olympic ping pong competitor
Advanced Microsoft office & Google Docs and Google Sheets
Responsibilities:
Liaise with clients and Principal about their pressing matters.
Manage 7+ calendars : Scheduling, confirming appointments, phone calls, etc.
Project coordination.
Organizing song catalogs and registrations ( coordinate with PROs, production companies, Sound Exchange).
Liaise with film/tv production companies on post production schedules: spotting sessions, mix dates & soundtrack release plans.
Managing recruitment processes for Spark & clients.
Docusign important forms, NDA's, vendor forms, etc.
Research projects for Principal as / when needed.
Managing / maintaining Social media channels.
Always listening out for exciting new music projects, artists, producers, & writers.
Manage the Spark office loft space & keep stocked / presentable at all times.
Attend shows, industry networking events, seminars.
Liaise with client business managers on credit card transactions & reimbursements.
Scanning receipts and creating expense reports.
Book and organize travel.
Event Management.
Light Photoshop skills / graphic design for flyers, event menus, album artwork.
Database & Directory management via Google sheets & Google docs.
