Space Station Casting Studios, located in the heart of Hollywood, prides itself in being Los Angeles's most convenient and efficient casting facility. Our focus is on simplicity and accessibility for all clients who come to use our studios for their casting and production needs, as well as for the actors who visit us on a daily basis.
We are hiring a new Studio Assistant to help run the day-to-day operations of our busy casting facility. Other shifts and additional contract work may be available on an intermittent basis.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and coordinate busy calendar for 9 casting spaces.
- Handle all incoming calls and communication (E-mails, texts, in-person requests, etc)
- Professionally interact with clients and talent, providing a friendly point of contact both in person and over the phone.
- Manage office space. Includes making coffee, tidying up, setting up casting studios before sessions, moving chairs, keeping track of inventory, etc.
- Manage office time efficiently and meet multiple daily deadlines
- Creatively solve problems without compromising company policies
- Anticipate needs for freelance casting directors and talent, and provide exceptional customer service to all who walk through our doors
- Complete special projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- At least one year of administrative experience in a busy office (internships OK).
- Proficient in both Mac and PC, Microsoft Word, Excel, and ability to learn in-house scheduling system.
- Extremely organized, with a strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once without sacrificing attention to detail.
- Must be professional with a friendly and outgoing personality. Thrives on working with many creative people and differing viewpoints.
- Ability to solve problems and work independently.
- Ability to coordinate with team and ask for assistance when needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information and act calmly, positively, and with discretion at all times.
- Thrives in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to lift and carry 30+ pounds, and climb small sets of stairs.
Additional Qualifications
- Familiarity with casting process a plus- actors and former actors encouraged to apply!
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
