Southbay Motion Picture Technologies is a research and engineering studio specializing in 3D Conversion, Visual Effects and Post-Production technology for film and T.V. With global facilities in Hollywood, China and Europe, our team of creative supervisors and researchers uses high-performance computing to remove the tedious, manual tasks from post-production, providing greater creative flexibility and unmatched cost-savings for our clients.
We are looking for a Vice President, Production to join our team in Hollywood, California
Responsibilities will include:
-Lead Hollywood production team to successful project deliverables
-Collaborate with overseas teams in China and Europe to identify and foster the growth of production workflow, communication, production efficiency & creative integrity both internally, and with the goal of enhancing the client experience
-Create, organize, and maintain production schedules and budgets
-Create and standardize internal and external production reporting
-Responsible for client satisfaction from the start of production schedule, through delivery and the Digital Intermediate
-Responsible for the successful management of 3D, VFX & DI projects including keeping projects on schedule
-Determine the most effective allocation of resources
-Evaluate creative staff during, but not limited to, employee evaluation periods
-Work in tandem with the VP of Creative to determine when client approval is needed before proceeding with additional work
-Collaborate with global executive staff to implement company-wide goals as needed
Skills and Experience:
-Bachelor's degree in film, art, communications, or related field, preferred
-Minimum 10 years of Visual Effects, Post-production and/or 3D conversion production experience, with a thorough understanding of the entire post production process
-Experience leading teams of production personnel at a senior/executive level, with overseas management experience preferred
-Experience with production tracking software (Shotgun or similar) and asset management software a plus
-Strong client interaction skills and customer service experience required
-Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
