Southbay Motion Picture Technologies is a research and engineering studio specializing in 3D Conversion, Visual Effects and Post-Production technology for film and T.V. With global facilities in Hollywood, China and Europe, our team of creative supervisors and researchers uses high-performance computing to remove the tedious, manual tasks from post-production, providing greater creative flexibility and unmatched cost-savings for our clients.
We are looking for a Production Coordinator to join our team in Hollywood, CA.
Responsibilities will include:
-Work closely with production & creative teams to determine targets, deliverables, and scope of project for each show
-Assist producers & supervisors to establish workflows & scheduling
-Create and track assignments for the team; anticipate and recommend amendments to plans based on changes throughout the show
-Maintain schedules & calendar invites
-Create and manage shot codes, ensure accuracy in tracking software & track assets through pipeline
-Publish internal & client notes, and have an understanding of their meaning, in order to roll out to artists and supervisors as needed
-Quality check outgoing work and written communication to be released to client, with the ability to edit and troubleshoot as needed
-Review client submissions, check for any incorrect notes or tracking errors
-Willingness to learn pipeline and protocol for departments other than production
-Attend meetings and take notes, coordinate post-mortems, identify, document & communicate action items
Skills and Experience:
-Bachelor's degree in film, art, communications, or related field, preferred
-2+ years production experience in post-production, visual effects, 3D conversion or related field
-Knowledge of post-production processes & general terminology required
-Excellent communication, organizational & interpersonal skills required, must show initiative
-Experience with production tracking software (Shotgun or similar) and asset management software a plus
