Role Description
The Programming Production Associate for SXSW EDU works as part of the production team to advance conference and festival programming for the 2019 event in March. They support the programming team on everything from main stage engagements and workshops to performances and competitions. The role is best suited for a collaborative candidate with strong communication skills, close attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a high-stress and fast-paced environment. The Programming Production Associate is key to the programming advancement process, managing production logistics pre-event and onsite, including staffing, print and signage production, and more.

Basic Duties
• Communicate with organizers and speakers on production logistics, and handle inbox and phone support for programming team
• Support team with internal processing, tracking, and programming advancement
• Facilitate contract requests with the SXSW legal department
• Coordinate onsite staffing needs, including volunteers, contractors, and staff
• Assist with production of all onsite signage and various print pieces
• Manage and produce various resources in preparation of the event
• Support and coordinate programming onsite across all venues
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in event planning and/or production
• Experience working in a collaborative environment
• Proficiency with Mac OS and the Google suite
• FileMaker experience recommended
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter with strong prioritization and problem-solving skills
• Organized and self-sufficient; able to execute tasks with minimal guidance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; customer service experience recommended
• Strong attention to detail; copy-editing experience recommended
• Must be available through the event in March 2019
