Channel Optimization/Audience Development Manager

SoulPancake is looking for a hard-working, motivated Channel Optimization and Audience Development Manager for a 15-month contract. What does this mouthful of a role entail? Basically, we need someone who can manage and oversee SoulPancake's premium YouTube channel, define and optimize our content, and grow and connect with our online audience. This individual will work closely with the company's executive team to help increase impressions, develop collaborations that grow our audience, and help show runners evolve their content to meet the demands of the audience. The ideal candidate will be turned on by YouTube analytics, have an accessible and responsive working style, and be willing to wear many hats. Responsibilities:
* Monitor discussions, posts, and comments across all YouTube videos and shows
* Respond to and interact with fans and viewers in the YouTube community on a daily basis
* Plan, implement, and analyze video releases and programming schedule to achieve and grow subscriber base, impressions, video views, and similar metrics
* Monitor YouTube analytics and provide reports for executive team and show runners to help optimize content consumption
* Collaborate with and provide feedback to show runners on how to improve content and community engagement
* Conceptualize and develop collaboration and partnership ideas with other YouTube channels
* Conduct and oversee giveaways, contests, and promotions to help improve community experience and subscription numbers
* Assist production teams and show runners in creating and collecting content from talent and on-set productions
* Work with sales/marketing director to create sponsored packages or integration opportunities for YouTube videos
* Maintain production calendar and tent-pole events for programming
* Oversee community engagement and content curation interns

Skills:
* Minimum of 5 years experience in digital space, specific experience with YouTube as a social ecosystem is a plus
* Deep relationships with, and understanding of, the online/social media space
* Strong organizational and follow-through skills
* Ability to set and achieve goals on deadline and under budget
* Ability to handle multiple priorities and communities with a small team
* Must have excellent communication skills
* Bachelor's degree or background in technology, film/TV production, and/or social media
