Trainee - International Research
This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to gain more work experience and learn all aspects of International Strategic Marketing and Research. The candidate will gain a general understanding of how international strategic marketing and research is developed and implemented.
Additional opportunities include exposure to corporate environment through participation in meetings within the department as well as with external vendors. Trainee will also be exposed to global campaigns and have the opportunity to work on global projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work closely with the Research Manager to ensure all studies and projects are set up and completed on time
• Make sure that high research standards are met in terms of study design, sample selection, questionnaire development, data analysis, and report generation by performing quality assurance checks
• Regularly communicate with Sony international offices to ensure the proper execution of our weekly film tracking studies
• Manage document flow, including creating and maintaining files (electronic and hard copy)
• Create, manage and update all our databases
• Provide script coverage from time to time
• Conduct general administrative duties (delivering reports, processing mail, copying, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Flexibility with work schedule and an ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to work with others and collaborate across the organization to achieve goals
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize to ensure that all assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Very good analytical and quantitative skills
• Computer proficiency and advanced experience with MS Office products, particularly Excel (Macros)
• Ability to create and modify charts and tables in MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel
• Some Market Research experience as well as some exposure to Tableau or other visual data software programs
• Detail-oriented and enthusiasm for solving problems
• Interest in the Media & Entertainment business

The Summer/Fall Professional Trainee positions are from Wednesday, May 30th or Tuesday, June 5th through December 14th but are flexible based on graduation dates. All candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week.
