TV Research Trainee, Sony Pictures Television - Summer/Fall 2018
OVERVIEW:
Sony Pictures Television is seeking a Trainee for our Research department. The qualified candidate must enjoy working with numbers, be detail oriented, extremely proficient in MS Excel and have a true passion for television entertainment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities
include preparing, analyzing and distributing Nielsen ratings, learning Nielsen software, analyzing the performance of Sony Pictures Television programs, and assisting in the preparation of research presentations for off-network sales, program renewals, and maintenance studies.
In this entry-level television research training role, the qualified candidate will gain experience useful in covering all aspects of the television industry.
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), paid trainee opportunity. Benefits are not provided. The time commitment is 6-12 months.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel (financial/analytical/research industry background helpful), proficient in MS PowerPoint
• Passion and knowledge of TV programs
• Ability to quickly learn new computer software
• Course work in Research Methods, Statistics, Sociology/Psychology is preferred
• Advertising/Marketing, Accounting, Finance is helpful

The Summer/Fall Professional Trainee positions are from Wednesday, May 30th or Tuesday, June 5th through December 14th but are flexible based on graduation dates. All candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week and have recently graduated within 1 year at time of application.
