Sr Manager, IT Strategy & Planning
The ideal candidate for this position will need to be proficient in IT strategy and planning, portfolio/program management and 3rd party vendor management. Responsible for supporting and managing the IT needs of Sony Corporation of America. They must be able to work independently to build relationships throughout the organization and must coordinate with numerous internal stakeholders. This includes colleagues in the GIS organization and relevant SCA corporate functions, such as information security, privacy, legal, HR and corporate communications to achieve Sony Corporate America's IT objectives and the successful implementation of key IT projects.
Key responsibilities are:
Strategy & Planning
• Develop a deep understanding of the current IT landscape at Sony Corporate America (SCA)
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including senior management, to define IT needs and priorities
• Support internal stakeholders in assessing business requirements and identifying potential technology solutions
• Provide IT decisions- giving advice and support to including direct support in identifying, evaluating and selecting internal and 3rd party technology solutions
• Coordinate with GIS to understand global and cross-company IT objectives, define and support SCA-specific implementation plans
• provide feedback to GIS on behalf of SCA as necessary
• Coordinate with information security, privacy and other internal risk and compliance functions to ensure that requirements and controls are well understood and incorporated into project plans
• Partner with Corporate Communications regarding end user communications
Portfolio/Program Management
• Maintain detailed inventories of existing IT assets
• Manage 3rd party vendor relationships and active projects, including points of contact for each
• Develop and sustain Executive summary of active projects, including project status, milestones, issues and risks
• Coordinate and conduct periodic program review meetings with stakeholders, Senior Management and the SCA IT Steering Committee
Project Management
• Assist internal stakeholders with the development of actionable project plans
• Closely track project status, issues and risks and support internal stakeholders in addressing obstacles via coordination activities with GIS, 3rd party vendors (where appropriate), and other stakeholder groups
• As necessary, assist with documentation of project objectives and requirements as well as the documentation of processes, system diagrams and data flows
Requirements include:
Knowledge
• Must be knowledgeable in the IT strategy and planning field
• Must be knowledgeable in planning and executing the project
• Must be knowledgeable in problem solving and looking for solutions
Skills
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills necessary to build relationships with numerous internal partners
• Excellent written and communication skills, including PowerPoint skills
• Excellent judgment and analytical skills
Experience
• Minimum of 10 years of related IT experience with a demonstrated track record of success
• Program/project management skills, including the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects.
• Experience with enterprise IT platforms, such as Office 365 & SAP, preferred
• Must be able to work without restrictions in the United States
