Sr Business Analyst, TV Networks
The Senior Business Analyst for IT serves as a primary interface to the business users in TV Networks with the guidance from a business relationship manager to assist the ADM teams in understanding the business processes, workflows and information requirements of the users. The Senior Business Analyst will primarily serve in the support of the current and future applications and the requirement analysis process. The Senior Business Analyst will also provide consulting on reactive, proactive and enhancement support services, as well as testing services to applications.
Responsibilities include the following:
• Provide day-to-day support for business users across the globe: includes support ticket creation, coordination of defect fixes with development team, communication of releases and patches to business users and testing of new functionality
• Work closely with traffic and content operations teams in region to elicit, document and refine requirements from business problems to detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
• Participate in planning, working with product owner and development team, to estimate efforts for requirements and provide prioritization of stories for development
• Coordinate with the development and support teams for the on-boarding of new providers, recipients and users to the Media Centre Application
• Coordinate new Media Centre workflow requirements with business and development teams
• Assist in the testing transcode and QC profiles required to support the outbound file requirements to various partners
• Actively participate in Agile rituals: daily Scrum, backlog grooming, sprint planning and retrospects
• Perform financial re-allocation work for monthly operating costs related to Media Centre usage and support costs
• Support all rollout activities which include business training, documentation, user hand holding
• Work with the ADM technical leads to clarify functional requirements
• Serve as primary liaison to QA team, creating test scenarios and performing UAT. Serve as a liaison to other teams in planning, coordination, development and deployment of multi-team enhancement or projects.
• Ensure delivery of project and enhancement requirements meet the requirements defined by the business customer
• Accountable for ensuring training needs are met for new or existing applications
Qualifications:
• Strong experience gathering requirements for complex, multi-phased business application development efforts, enhancements or projects
• Strong level of business process and data experience, long with knowledge of one or many Line of Business or Value Chain domains
• Strong functional specifications documentation skills a must
• Evidence of business acumen to communicate effectively with business and IT in day-to-day operations and delivery of IT services
• Four or more years of relevant working experience
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Interest and ability to adapt to an agile way of working
• Experience operating in an agile environment is a plus
