Software Engineering Intern, CORP IT - Spring 2020
The Sony Pictures Entertainment Internship program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. These seasonal, paid assignments provide meaningful and productive work that allow you to build your resume, experience and develop your skills further. This Spring Internship is from January through end of May and all candidates must be able to work between 15-29 hours a week (flexible based on school schedule).
The Application Development Maintenance (ADM) Integration IT team is responsible for providing end to end integration solutions for application through Sony Pictures Entertainment. We are looking for a Software Engineering intern to assist with many different coding tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Analyze and review the codes for PAWS administration module - Create brief technical design diagram to cover product, stakeholder roles, GL and item map, and securities management
• Analyze and review the codes for PAWS participants module - Create brief technical design diagrams to cover processes for contract group setup, select product for contract, statement template, statement process, and statement adjustment
• Analyze and review the codes for PAWS data staging module - Create brief technical design diagram to cover data loads and processes for for SAP, C2C, and Tigres
• Optimize the iteration usage in SQL store procedures to reduce process running time
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 4 years of C# development experience.
• Having a good knowledge in Object Oriented Programming, ADO.NET
• Experience working with stored procedures and ability to debug them
• Flexible and versatile to adapt to any new environment and work on any project
• Good understanding of Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) with focus on end to end Application development
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
School or professional experience with the following;
• Framework: Microsoft .NET, MVC
• IDE: Visual Studio , Visual Studio Code
• Web Servers: IIS 6.0 / 7.0
• Web Technologies: ASP.NET, MVC 4.0, Web API, AJAX, Web Services, Bootstrap
• Scripting Languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, XML
• RDBMS: SQL Server
• Tools & Utilities: SVN , Microsoft Team Foundation Server
• Software Methodologies: Agile, Iterative
