Marketing Creative Services Intern, Sony Pictures Television, Spring 2019
The Sony Pictures Entertainment Internship program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. These seasonal paid assignments provide meaningful and productive work that allow you to build your resume, experience and develop your skills further. You will be provided with challenging tasks, real-world experience, valuable networking opportunities, and many educational and social opportunities while on the lot.
This Spring internship is from January to May. All candidates must be able to work between 10-29 hours.
Creative Center is an in-house creative team that supports Sony Pictures Televisions Networks and Distribution teams across the world. Creative Center supports the needs of many functional groups including: Distribution, Sales, Programming, Marketing, and Ad Sales as well. Creative Center is divided into three verticals that function as one cohesive team. This includes: Creative, which specializes in video production and post production, digital and print artwork; Operations, which focuses on keeping the internal operations of the team; and Production, which provides extensive project management to clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Execute basic creative assistant needs including, resizing, masking, versioning, retouching, color correction, etc. – as able and as available
• Execute basic Design production artist needs, as able and as available
• Assist in organization, renaming, and archive of live photo assets to cold storage in DF Studio
• Work alongside Technical Manager and Technical Coordinator to ensure all source assets are requested, arrive for on-time production and delivery, and meet quality and technical standards and specifications
• Assist Coordinator in inputting Design requests into project management scheduling application
• Assist Design Coordinator with digital file migration for the department, reducing dependency on external hard drive solutions (sneaker net)
• Aid Design teams in research and brainstorming tasks for various new and on-going projects
• The intern will gain experience/exposure to working in a fast-paced, studio-based internal creative agency
• Exposure to established production delivery pipelines in creative workflows
• Learn all components of multi-faceted and multi-platform marketing campaigns, for original, acquired, stunt-based, or brand content
• Work cross-departmentally to implement promotional strategy (launch and sustain)
• Exposure to all other departments within the Crackle and US Networks teams
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Passion and interest in Design (print/digital/social) production workflows
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – print, design, and photo applications (Photoshop and Illustrator)
• Has experience using Microsoft Office applications
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work with people of all backgrounds
• Ability to efficiently and succinctly share and provide feedback to creative brainstorming
• Characterized as collaborative, self-motivated, ''tech savvy'' and a ''fast learner''
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Undergraduate student studying in relevant field able to work part time hours while in school
