Finance Transformation Intern – Spring 2019
SPE INTERN:
The Sony Pictures Entertainment Internship program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. These seasonal paid assignments provide meaningful and productive work that allow you to build your resume, experience and develop your skills further. You will be provided with challenging tasks, real-world experience, valuable networking opportunities, and many educational and social opportunities while on the lot.
This Spring internship is from January to May. All candidates must be able to work between 10-29 hours.
The Finance Transformation Team is a driving force to keep Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) focused on the future. Alongside our CFO and finance leadership, our group defines and implements finance initiatives to ensure the long-term profitability of the studio. We partner with various lines of business to solve problems at the highest level, streamline processes across the studio, and produce more with less resources. The Finance Transformation Team is home to change agents, innovative thinkers, detail-oriented managers, and fearless leaders who have a vision for the finance function of the future.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The SPE Finance Transformation Intern will own a piece of an ongoing global transformation project, which may include (but is not limited to) the following:
• Provide recommendations on how to standardize or improve current business processes
• Find creative solutions to engage different stakeholder groups and encourage project sponsorship
• Implement changes alongside senior management and plan future projects using a transformational road map
• Work with project leads to think through project risks related to people, process, and technology, and how to leverage appropriate change management tools and communication channels to mitigate these risks
• Analyze process changes to understand and document stakeholder impacts
• Help develop meaningful, effective communications and training material to address identified impacts
• Utilize various software tools including SAP, JIRA, Excel, and SharePoint to manage projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Fast learner, problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Ability to manage multiple work streams
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
• Critical thinker who is unafraid to share his/her opinion
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Preference to those with a strong desire to learn about the finance organization, finance projects, and project management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Undergraduate student studying in relevant field able to work part time hours while in school
