Cyber Threat Intelligence (InfoSec) Intern, CORP - Spring 2019
The Sony Pictures Entertainment Internship program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. This Spring internship is from January to May. All candidates must be able to work between 10-29 hours.
The Information Security Group is a dynamic growing team responsible for securing Sony's information assets, services, and the employees that depend on them, to enable trust with customers, stakeholders, and employees and protect their privacy. Our mission is to enable the most effective and efficient management of Sony Group information security and privacy risks, minimizing the frequency and impact of incidents, in order to protect and enhance Sony's brand, competitive advantage and business operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking an intern to join our Cyber Threat Intelligence team to analyze threats to our global operations and support the expansion of our open source intelligence (OSINT) program. The intern will be responsible for authoring threat profiles, evaluating a range of OSINT tools, and implementing a proof of concept for OSINT collection.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Relevant education or experience in Information Security
• Outstanding research skills and ability to synthesize information from multiple sources
• Familiarity with information security concepts and knowledge of the cyber threat landscape
• Demonstrated understanding of the culture, politics and conditions of foreign countries in one or more regions of the world
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
Preferred
• Undergraduate or Masters student studying in relevant field able to work part time hours while in school
• Experience with data analysis and identifying patterns in large data sets
• Experience with SQL or other query languages
• Basic familiarity with a programming language such as Python, Perl, Java, C/C , etc.
