Sony Crackle Business Development and Partnerships Intern, Sony Pictures Television, Spring 2019
The Sony Pictures Entertainment Internship program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. These seasonal paid assignments provide meaningful and productive work that allow you to build your resume, experience and develop your skills further. You will be provided with challenging tasks, real-world experience, valuable networking opportunities, and many educational and social opportunities while on the lot.
This Spring internship is from January to May. All candidates must be able to work between 10-29 hours.
The Sony Crackle Partnerships and Business Development team is responsible for handling business development and partner marketing efforts for Sony Crackle, as well as short form content syndication for Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) worldwide. This involves managing Sony Crackle's distribution partnerships across all platforms, as well as SPE's relationship with YouTube and management of its worldwide channel and fan uploaded content network. We specialize in establishing and maintaining relationships within and outside the studio with a focus on revenue, optimization and growth. We collaborate and support a multitude of groups within SPE, including production, marketing, corporate development and content protection.
Our small group operates on the front lines of a constantly evolving digital landscape, and presents an opportunity for invaluable exposure to digital media distribution, content management and business development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The intern would learn about and help with:
• Business development and operations management
• Digital content distribution and technologies
• Partner with marketing and promotion
• Content and rights management
• Worldwide digital ad sales
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Enrollment in an accredited college/university for the duration of the internship
• Avid interest in digital media and entertainment
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-based environment
• Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset
• Innovative and adaptable approach to problem solving
• Proficient in MS Office
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Undergraduate student studying in relevant field able to work part time hours while in school
