Specialist, Crackle Media & Talent Relations
Crackle is seeking a Specialist of Media & Talent Relations to generate positive broadcast, print and online coverage in support of the network's programming, talent, and events.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the the Vice President and Sr. Manager of Media & Talent Relations to generate positive print, broadcast and online coverage in support of the network's programming, talent, and events.
• Pitch features and profile story ideas to media outlets.
• Act as a liaison between talent, executive producers and press.
• Assist in managing original programming premieres and annual events, including TCA, Upfronts and Comic-Con.
• Oversee and cover press interviews, set visits, press events, and photo shoots.
• Facilitate and/or attend brainstorming meetings with internal partners, showrunners and other groups to generate PR strategies for shows and projects.
• Oversee and cover interviews at set visits, junkets, photo shoots, television appearances; craft message points.
• Create press materials including press kits & press releases.
• Work with department assistant to book travel along with creating and providing talent with detailed itineraries.
• Cultivate & maintain relationships with media outlets and talent representatives, producers and executives.
Qualifications:
• Four-year degree in Communications or related field preferred
• Minimum 3 year experience in television publicity preferred
• Preferred experience in scripted programming and knowledge of the OTT space and social media
• Must demonstrate superb written and verbal communication skills
• Strong television media contacts, print, electronic and online
• Must be self-motivated, proactive and ability manage multiple projects
• Excellent understanding of effective media relations practices
• Familiarity with social media
• Strong interpersonal skills; capable of working independently and in a team atmosphere
• Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Strong work ethic, desire and commitment to accept increasingly greater challenges and responsibilities
