Senior Manager, Media & Talent Relations, Europe

We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Manager, Media & Talent Relations, Europe, to join our TV division in London. Reporting to the SVP, Media & Talent Relations, the role supports the sale and launch of Sony TV series across EMEA, with strategic focus on the emerging CEEMA markets.
Key Responsibilities
• Meet with CEEMA sales and marketing teams on a regular basis to strategize on pre- and post- sales support, discuss upcoming deals, added value for client relationships (e.g. private screenings, product launches, media screenings, local premieres, set visits, interviews etc).
• Developing and implementing season long PR strategies for all shows to generate positive and strong publicity across all content and talent in line with the overall business strategy and objectives. From pre-launch through finale, with key cast & production interviews, digital assets, images & talent access.
• Assisting with International talent tours, press junkets and set visits to support key campaigns, shows and talent which includes all event management, logistics, budgets, team delegation and schedules.
• Territory Expert (in-depth knowledge about broadcasting trends/PR campaigns/product successes/key publications/entertainment related websites in territory).
• Excellent journalist relations across a broad range of media, broadsheets, consumer magazines, social media outlets and broadcast. Maintains and builds on existing relationships with relevant International journalists including all US based stringers to capitalise on any US activity.
• Management of agencies when needed to supplement campaigns.
• Working alongside the US team in formulating talent access strategies to promote and enhance talent profiles Internationally.
• Building relationships with SPHE and Sony Networks in territories to maximise publicity & cross-promotion opportunities for release of SPT product.
• Gather US product launch campaign details to present/share with territory broadcast clients where relevant for intelligence and brand guidance.
• Manage, implement and approve publicity and promotion campaigns with European broadcasters for SPT product in specific territories.
• Develop and communicate in-depth knowledge about regional media outlets – TV, press, online, radio – to LA SPT Publicity team and local Marketing Managers.
• Liaise with LA office on interview requests for SPT actors by European press.
• Manage publicity requests for interviews, tours, set visits for European broadcasters & press through LA office.
• Produce press mailers for SPT programming and events as required.
• Participate in regular conference calls with LA publicity dept.
Qualifications
and/or Experience Required
• Typically 6 years in entertainment publicity; experience at a studio desirable.
• Experience in an International role, supporting teams in territory.
• Strong interpersonal skills required and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to influence, negotiate and persuade others.
• Proven track record in delivering creative publicity campaigns that meet and exceed business objectives.
• Good understanding of broadcast environment.
• Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent experience required.
• Proficient in use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
