Senior Financial Analyst
The Senior Analyst, Finance is a key member of the FP&A team, primarily involved in consolidation of quarterly forecasts, annual budget, multi-year plans and financial packages for month end/year-end tracking and analysis. This role will support the main points of contact with SPE's Corporate Finance team and interacts with every member of the FP&A team in the process of preparing for Corporate Reporting, Balance Sheet and Cash forecasting. This role also will also have exposure to forecasting for our 3rd Party Acquisitions program, and in ultimates, ad-hoc analysis and special projects.
Responsibilities:
• Support in consolidation of the financial budgets, quarterly forecasts, and multi-year plan.
• Support in compiling and tracking production assumptions from product owners.
• Support in forecasting releasing and marketing cost.
• Preparation of product owner passes are accurate and on-time.
• Track performance relative to budgets and forecasts. Review actual results and concisely explain variances against budgets and forecast, market and deal, and key product categories.
• Liaise with accounting team to improve availability and flow of information.
• Assist with the preparation of the monthly/quarterly CEO financial results presentations.
• Prepare quarterly tax forecasts. This involves working closely with accounting and GTO to ensure tax and corporate requirements are met for individual licensing entities.
• Support quarterly ultimates and film model reviews.
• Ensure that SPT's Essbase environment is accurately updated with latest actuals, budget, forecasts and MRP. Maintain hierarchies and develop new reports as needed.
Requirements:
Experience:
• 3 years combined accounting and planning experience. Related industries are a plus.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.
Skills:
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong financial modeling.
• Solid business acumen and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with TV Production and TV Distribution license agreements.
• Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong follow-through on all projects; ability to bring projects to timely completion.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Critical thinker with excellent written and verbal communication,
• Strong organization skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
• Windows, Essbase, Excel, Word, SAP, and PowerPoint
• Strongly proficiency in MS Excel a must. Ability to work with high volume of data from multiple sources
• Proficient in MS PowerPoint and Word.
• SAP experience required.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to bring projects to timely completion with minimal supervision.
• Keep an open mind for process improvement and embracing changes.
• Strong understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
