General Summary
Sony Pictures newly created Future Formats Team in London has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Co-coordinator to join them on a 12-month fixed term basis. This role will assist with the smooth running of the department, creating and updating pipelines and documents and having knowledge of and access to all of Sony's formats, sizzles and treatments.
The Future Formats team covers development, acquisitions and sales, dealing with executives across Europe, China, Australia and the US, so if you have a passion for international unscripted content and have an ambition to progress your career within the international TV and content industry this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Core responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
1. Formats Administration
Updating key sales documents and databases:
- Pipeline document on an ongoing basis
o Add notes from opcos and meetings
o CLG note summaries
- Shared google doc – on an ongoing basis
o Ad hoc to assist tracking of group's activities
- Future Formats CI Media site:
o Responsibility for updating the format sales CI site with all up to date screeners and marketing material
o Source alternative screeners and promos from International Production where appropriate and upload to CI Media
- Events
o Gather materials for external format events
o Source contributors and possible speakers
o Assist with co-ordination of the event including admin of lead up to the day and on the day with guest liaison, presentation of materials and set up
- Current slate materials
o Pro-actively gather materials from Sony op cos and keep up to date information on current slate priorities
2. Research support for Future formats
- Support for sales trips or format launch team trips including:
o Client and Territory research
o Assisting with presentations on an ad hoc basis
- Creating and updating internal presentations for external global use – ppt
- Reading all K7/Wit/Broadcast reports and constantly scan for trends or interesting formats to input into monthly screening presentation, key client hit list and/or company and territory profiles
- Assisting with Preparation for key sales markets and trips:
o Territory, channel & client research including market trends, scheduling information
o Key formats on air, and key producers in territory
3. Production support
- Basic editing in premiere pro to re-cut internal promos for international presentation
Candidate Requirements:
• Typically 12 months previous experience in a sales or distribution environment, with a track record in a client facing role
• Experience generating sales leads and managing client follow up through excellent written and oral communications
• Experience crafting sales pitches and presentations to a high standard
• Must be familiar with the unscripted format global landscape and be able to keep up to date with trends within the industry
• Ability to organise events and summits, including researching and approaching possible contributors and speakers
• Must be able to demonstrate a passion for international unscripted content
• A can-do attitude and an ambition to progress career within the international TV and content industry
• Ability to work with high level senior managers.
• Adobe photoshop skills, PP proficiency and possibly basic editing ability.
• Knowledge of international production processes desirable
• Language skills desirable
