Senior Art Manager
General Summary:
This role will evangelize the ''One Sony'' philosophy and elevate the brand vision, voice, strategy across every assigned project. The purpose of The Senior Art Manager position is to work alongside with the Regional Art Director spreading out his/her vision through the ideation, supervision, execution, assignation, coordination, in an innovative way to establish image strategies with the objective of providing a consistent visual communication on all platforms. The Senior Art Manager will develop brand guidelines along with the Regional Art Director and on his/her behalf the executing or overseeing execution locally or regionally to ensure that Brand communication efforts and effectiveness are achieved successfully, on time and on budget. The purpose of this position is to provide ideation, art direction implementation and subsequent execution in specific service of, but not limited to, Latin America Sales and Distribution, Distribution Marketing, Theatrical, PR, Sony Networks, Trade and Consumer Networks Marketing, social campaigns on all platforms.
Core responsibilities
• Share and enrich visual criteria and direction expertise with the Regional Art Director.
• Ability to assist the Regional Art Director in making timely, independent and assertive decisions related to the execution or creative projects and tasks when needed and on his/her behalf.
• Ensure creative excellence and execution throughout the process.
• Identifies new trends and state of the art design to upgrade brands.
• 25% Provide aligned graphic guidelines to vendors, freelancers, designers, and creative teams alike to achieve projects efficiently and within Regional Art Director's expectations.
• Works closely with the Strategy & Operations Manager and Creative Manager for executing strategy.
• Keeps Regional Art Director and VP Creative apprised of the status of work.
• 25% Establish Brand identification while creating product awareness in all platforms through the development of projects with the highest standards of quality.
• 25% Oversee the implementation of brand strategies and objectives of networks and Collaborates with On Air Promotion, Interstitials, Original Production, Affiliates, Ad Sales and Marketing Off Air.
• Establishes and builds relationships internally (marketing, programming, media planning, etc.) and externally (vendors)
• 25% Assist Art Managers and Lead Designers through several stages of the creative process evaluating and/or contributing with the quality, progress and excellence.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• 6+ years of experience in Managing or Art Direction, preferable in Broadcast, Agencies or equivalent.
• Strong decision-making capabilities related to execution and production of creative projects.
• Extensive experience in all aspects of graphic design, motion graphics, animation, print, postproduction & storytelling.
• Capacity to align closely to Regional Art Director's criteria in order to extend and achieve greater effectiveness in responsibilities as project execution and overseeing.
• Understanding of the media agency and television industry is a must.
• Capacity of synthesizing abstract ideas into words.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Strong problem-solving skills and detail oriented.
• Ability to optimize and streamline creative and production processes.
• Strong ability to organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize.
• Brand knowledge.
• Team player.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of English is a must.
• Basic Portuguese preferable.
• Ability to work effectively under changing environments.
• Basic 3D, AFX automation and general expression coding knowledge is preferable.
Education:
Graphic Design professional, with management experience.
