Who are we?
The role of Sony Pictures Television Distribution is to sell Feature Films, TV Movies and TV Series to broadcasters, across all media, internationally.
Our Paris based team is current looking for a Sales Admin Exec. whose focus will be on three key areas: Deal Management & Administration, Forecasting & Planning and Title Inventory Management and will work across all media - Pay-TV, Basic-TV, Subscription VOD, Free-TV.
As an ideal candidate you will have strong administration and IT skills, as well as excellent communication and team skills, a deep and broad understanding of the studio business models on product, media, market and client knowledge to support the sales process.
We are ideally seeking someone with a genuine interest in TV content with an understanding of changing broadcast landscape in Europe.
What you'll be doing:
As our Sales Admin Exec, you will support 3 key areas which will incorporate the following responsibilities:
Deal Management & Administration
- Set up & maintain deals in Sales & Rights Management systems
- Uphold Sales Planning Procedures by seeking appropriate reviews and sign offs, maintaining accurate and up to date records and storing key documentation in appropriate systems and folders.
- Track the workflow of contract, amendment, notification processes for every deal, client schedules, availability lists and ad hoc reports.
- Preparation and review of orders before sending off to billing and material fulfilment teams (including fee allocations, checking accuracy of overage calculations and processing any changes into our systems)
Assist and track progress of deal execution liaising with Legal:
- Work closely with Sales and Legal during contract drafting and provide information & documentation
- Prepare deal memo/term sheet/short-form where required
- Track progress through to final signature/ execution
Client Support:
- Develop a good working relationship with clients; attend external meetings (e.g. client meetings/calls).
- Engage with customer, answer queries and provide sales support. Meet customers as required.
Title Inventory
- Window management - Maximise window opportunities for all product, ensure sales plans and territory product trackers are maintained according to Media Chronology and latest performance ratings
- Identify and package products through their knowledge of SPT's library catalogue
- Demonstrate their understanding of key points in contracts and able to accurately interpret and codify negotiated media, pricing and rights.
Forecasting & Planning
- Take ownership for ensuring all deals and data in our systems are accurate and up to date.
- Create and provide summaries and updates, utilising system functionalities, to Sales & Finance within prescribed deadlines
- Collaborate with Sales team to define yearly budgets and reforecast projections for relevant territories according to product performances and market changes
- Responsible for co-ordinating and entering mid-range plan information for relevant territories & media
- Attend and contribute to regular forecast review meetings with Regional Sales Head and VP of Finance.

- Educated to minimum undergraduate degree level
- Previous experience in an administrative role would be beneficial
- Strong computer skills, particularly Excel (pivot tables, formula) and comfortable learning new systems
- Strong English Language skills both spoken and written and confident in communicating in English on a daily basis.
- Highly numerate with excellent attention to all details – accuracy, presentation and completeness.
- Proactive, flexible and adaptable - Evaluates, selects and acts on various methods and strategies for solving problems and meeting objectives before being asked or required to do so.
- Good communication skills and able to provide clear information in a useable form and on a timely basis to others who need to act on it.
