Overview
The Publicity Assistant will be London-based but form part of the LA home-office global publicity team. This individual will interface with colleagues across the world, as well as international media, vendors, and venues. The position works within a fast-paced, collaborative environment where no task is too big or too small.
What you will be working on:
• Support the London (and L.A.) publicity team, reporting to SVP, global publicity
• Job duties and responsibilities are wide-ranging, expansive, and often to be completed with fast turn-around times
• Assist in the organization and execution of press events (primarily London-based): junkets, set visits, photo calls, screenings, etc.
• Liaise and work closely with Los Angeles-based publicity pods as well as international offices
• Help compile press nominations and update interview schedules
• Book venues, screening rooms, and catering
• Research press hotels; negotiate rates, terms & conditions
• Liaise with IT to secure support for international press events
• Book travel and ground transportation for talent, press, and staff; process visa applications (largely for European nationals) for publicity tours
• Where applicable, negotiate and book local groomers
• Work on project budgets, split costs between titles or divisions
• Process travel and business expenses; as well as purchase orders, invoices, and supplies
• Organize and book meetings, secure meeting rooms
• Update records such as upcoming world events, films in production, etc.
What we need from you:
• Typically, 2+ years' public relations related experience. Experience in film/entertainment is preferable
• Bright, helpful and enthusiastic individual
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Numerate, systems literate
• Self-motivated, proactive, resourceful and creative
• Ability to multitask
• Approachable, articulate, outgoing and have good interpersonal communication
• Ability to remain calm and clear-thinking in pressured situations
• Flexible - prepared to work beyond standard office hours when needed
• Excellent team player
• We favour international experience or an international mindset. Need fluency in basic office software & platforms such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Concur.
