Programme Coordinator
Please note that this role is based in the United Kingdom. In order to enable us to meet statutory and regulatory obligations of the United Kingdom immigration system you must have the appropriate immigration permission needed to work and reside in the United Kingdom.
Reporting to the Senior Channel Manager, the Programme Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day planning and construction of channel schedules, materials flow and inventory management.
Duties included by not limited to, the Programme Coordinator:
• Ensures completion of monthly programme planning grids in Vision (and uses other scheduling systems as required) within required timelines, utilizing Vision (and a suite of broasdcast and content systems as required) and/or the support of the Channels Coordinator when appropriate. Ensures Snr Channel Manager is aware of any risks to transmission or deadlines.
• Liaises with Broadcast Services, traffic, scheduling and other internal agencies to ensure efficient and delivery of the channel service. Liaises with external content suppliers as necessary.
• Assists with planning, creating and ideating linear and non-linear programming and scheduling activities, stunts, creating briefs and promotables for designated channels and VOD services, as required.
• Plays an active role in planning meetings, makelist and highlights meetings, and contributes to programme evaluation and editorial process as required.
• Channel inventory management; maintenance of planning/promotable/competitor/stock databases as required.
• Produces Sponsorship Grids for channels.
• Updates Rightsline programme catalogue using bespoke systems (eg GPMS) as necessary; liaises with internal stakeholders and IT Dept on all areas of planning operation.
• Supports and deputises for the Senior Channel Manager and Channel Manager as required.
• Adhoc activity including project work, research, compiling reports and presentations, supporting other channels, as requested by Snr Channel Manager and VP M&E.
Skills and Experience Required:
• Typically 3 or more years' experience in similar or scheduling role in a TV/media environment.
• Demonstrable interest and passion for TV/content and channel/content services/scheduling, and films and movies in particular
• Ability to analyse data and engage with systems and data accurately and efficiently, detail-focused
• Team orientated, collegiate working with ability to work across and liaise between departments, stakeholders and specialist centres
• Strong IT literacy with demonstrable knowledge and aptitude for bespoke systems preferably Vision or similar scheduling tool (Vision training can be supplied)
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrable organisation skills and effective time management
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
