Motion Graphic Designer (5 month FTC)
Based in Soho London, and reporting to the Creative Director UK & Western European Channels, the Sony Pictures Theatrical Graphics department has an exciting opportunity for a Motion Graphics Designer to join their team, commencing as soon as possible, on a Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2019.
We are looking for a talented Middleweight Motion Graphic Designer with 3d Generalist skills to join our small but busy In-House broadcast graphics department. The work is incredibly diverse: we do everything from hand drawn animation to fully photorealistic 3d animation and compositing, as well as offer graphical support to our promo, marketing and web teams. The successful candidate will need to showcase a wide variety of creative skills to deal with the range of work our clients expect
The candidate will be required to work in a team - sometimes working on a small but important aspect of a larger project - as well as manage their own individual projects - where they will be required to conceive and develop their own ideas through to delivery. We want someone who lives for the joy of creation, and is always looking for new things to learn and new ways to express their unique personality.
Key Requirements of the role, and ideally who we are looking for:
• Strong visual and conceptual abilities
• Fluent at 3d modelling, texturing, and lighting
• A great feel for animation
• A keen eye for typography
• Self-confident, pro-active, motivated and enthusiastic
• Ability to work unsupervised as well as in a team
• Traditional drawing skills a bonus
• In depth knowledge of Cinema 4d (including Arnold Render) and After Effects.
• Solid knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
