Manager, TVOD Client Services (CEEMA)

Overview
Sony Pictures Entertainment currently distributes transactional digital content in more than 100 territories and to major retailers such as iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, Microsoft and many others.
As a part of the Content Mastering & Distribution Group, the Transactional VOD Client Services team supports and enables this distribution through management of the Digital Supply Chain, ensuring on-time and high-quality content deliveries, as well as the accurate execution of strategic initiatives via flexible, repeatable and scalable processes.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager, TVOD Client Services is responsible for managing day-to-day operations and communication for the CEEMA region Features Digital supply chain, along with managing special projects across all EMEA regions and/or globally. As the expanding and dynamic Digital marketplace continues to mature, key criteria for success in this position will be strong team management skills, consistent attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt and respond quickly to shifting processes and strategies. As the business needs evolve, the Manager may also partner with his or her Client Services colleagues to support needs across other areas, e.g. Western Europe, TV episodic Digital supply chain, etc. Interest in Commercial, Operational, Technical and User Experience aspects of digital consumption is a must, as this job creates opportunities to grow in any of these areas.
Core Responsibilities of this role will include:
• People Management: Lead, coach and develop Coordinator, TVOD Client Services, driving success to business needs day to day
• Ensure allocation of work for CEEMA is steady state through consistent prioritization to ensure product optimization goals
• Oversee and perform hands-on strategic management of the most critical information flow to our customers – Pricing and Avails for EST and various flavors of VOD, including bundles, promotions, etc.
• Lead Client Onboarding efforts for CEEMA/Multi-Territory partners, hands-on expert in managing Client Profiles
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure day to day needs are met, exploring opportunities for operational optimization short and long term
• Collaborate with internal and external points of contact to coordinate the delivery of video, audio, subtitle, artwork and metadata assets in adherence to SPHE and customer specifications
• Leverage data reporting to develop and/or measure KPI's
• Develop, steward and share key best practices for cutting edge business processes piloted internationally
• Partner with IT, Systems & Workflow teams and process stakeholders (includes TVOD Client Services colleagues) to continually enhance systems and processes (PRISM, Project Diamond, HUB, etc.)
• Lead Partner integration efforts where needed
• As part of the core team, embrace development and adoption of Digital Standards and Best Practices as they mature/evolve (ex, EIDR, EMA Avails, IMF, Common Media Manifest, ALID)
• Understand and act as an advocate core business data automation and Roadmap
• Special projects: Develop and lead project plans and team members to meet business/initiative goals, includes internal/external partnerships
• Partner with SPE Commercial and Sales Planning Leads to understand and anticipate needs, both short and long term along with day to day business priorities
• Creatively and with urgency lead/execute fast-paced, late-breaking business requirements by Commercial leads
• Prioritize long-term strategic goals along with ad hoc projects or production priorities
Preferred Qualifications
and/or Experience
• Typically 5+ years studio, media supply chain and/or Digital distribution experience
• Working knowledge of digital supply chain (XML, video encoding, workflow management systems)
• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail
• Skilled communicator – interpersonal, verbal and written
• Able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changes in priority and/or direction easily
• Flexible and adaptable with an appetite for implementing positive change
• Strong relationship builder with excellent customer service skills
• Self-starter who can be effective with minimal supervision
• Demonstrable comfort communicating with management, Business and customer contacts
• Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Fluency in EMEA regional languages a plus
• Problem solving ability
