Manager, Production – Non-Scripted
Job Description/Responsibilities
Development
• Oversees production on development sizzles and presentations from conception through post production and delivery. (Includes securing production office space, shooting locations, edit space, recruiting production team, obtaining bids and locking in the best rates for vendors / facilities, etc).
• Creates and Manages development budgets for sizzles and presentations, keeping track of all costs line by line.
• Creates Production Calendars in relation to projects in development.
• Arranges for payment on all development invoices and issues /executes work for hire contracts, working directly with Production Accounting and the Accounts Payable team. Includes setting up Vendors in the system and seeing through correct payment to vendors.
• Tracks costs for all invoices paid on a per project basis, working closely with the Finance team, and reporting quarterly (or as needed) to the Development EVP/SVP and corporate finance team.
Production
• Point of contact for all production offices related to non-scripted / reality shows.
• Sets up production office prior to production starting.
• Liaison for production once they have begun; overseeing any needs related to the studio, production office, and procedures.
• Tracks episode delivery and air schedules for each production.
• Point of Contact for all Scenechronize needs; overseeing and Managing the delivery of documents from all non-scripted productions to the Studio on Scenechronize, ensuring follow through by all productions.
• Works in conjunction with the IT team helping create an efficient Scenechronize structure by consistently working with the application, infrastructure, and business unit teams; participating in bi-weekly strategy meetings.
• Onboarding users for all non-scripted shows onto Scenechronize. Point of contact for any questions on studio requirements and troubleshooting issues.
• Manages the delivery of all physical production deliverables for all non-scripted shows. (ie. Production Documents / Boxes, managing the appropriate delivery to Studio Archives for proper storage, inventorying master shoot materials for Post team, etc.)
• Liaison between BA, Production, Production Accounting, Legal Affairs, Studio Operations, Security, and the physical production team on all non-scripted shows.
• Liaison between the network production team and the Studio, including overseeing the completion of all deliverables requested by the network.
• Works directly with Production Accounting to oversee that Cash Flow / Funding needs and deadlines are met for non-scripted productions.
Office
• Administrative duties include answering phones and maintaining SVP's calendar.
• Addressing and responding to email correspondence from all SPT departments, production companies, and networks.
• Creates / maintains various logs, lists, reports and calendars of each show in development and production.
• Oversees prelim locations, budgets, and schedules. (data procurement)
• Arranging and participating in conference calls / managing meetings; answer phones.
• Prepares expense reports, arranges travel for executives and producers
• Manages financial, payroll and risk management matters between Production Finance, Insurance, Safety and Production Department Executive
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree
• 3-5 years of experience in Physical Production
• Knowledge of creative, production, post production processes and related workflows
• Preferred experience with Movie Magic Budgeting and managing Budgets
• Great attitude with strong attention to detail
• Must have excellent organizational and time management skills
