Manager, Business Relationship Management TVD
The BRM Manager will be dedicated to project work for Television Distribution IT and serves as a primary facilitator of the Agile process. The BRM Manager will help implement Agile Project Management/Best Practices, facilitates communication and information exchange between external groups and the project team, and keep all parties on track and informed. This person will also support production related activities and ensure timely resolution of support issues. Finally, this person will oversee QA activities, both automated and manual, by the QA team. The BRM Manager should possess overall knowledge of the product and process which enables the team to avoid road blocks.
Responsibilities
include the following:
The scrum master's role in supporting product owners in the following aspects:
• Find methods to effectively manage the product backlog.
• Help communicate the owner's wishlist to the project team.
• Arrange and optimize product backlog.
• Organize scrum events as necessary.
• Lead and coach scrum adoption.
• Plan scrum implementation.
• Implement changes and steps to increase the team's productivity.
• Collaborate with other scrum masters to improve the methodologies' efficiency.
• Oversee manual and automated testing performed by the QA team
Qualifications
and/or Experience Required
• 3+ recent years experience working on either accounting/financial reporting project dealing with TV distribution revenue recognition, billing/payment terms functional areas. Familiarity of SOX and/or GAAP guidelines a plus.
• 3+ recent years experience in an agile environment with experience working as a scrum master
• Strong functional specifications and user requirements skills a must
• Evidence of business acumen in order to communicate effectively with business and IT in day-to-day operations and delivery of IT services
• Prior experience in the Entertainment Industry, preferably in Television, Home Entertainment, or Film is a huge plus
