Finance Manager, TV Networks
Located in Soho, London, our SPT team currently have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join their team, working across the TV Networks divisions.
Reporting to the Finance Director TV Networks UK and Italy, the role will involve, but will not be limited to:
• Day-to-day commercial support to the operational channel management teams, including programming acquisitions, marketing, creative, broadcast operations and the divisional Vice-Presidents
• Responsible for managing the gathering, interpretation and presentation of all financial information, including all forecasts, recurring reporting requirements, and compliance activities
• Collaborate with operational stakeholders to develop forecasts that reflect the current business strategy
• Working with budget holders to manage budgets, helping identify opportunities to maximize profits and scrutinize programming, promotional and operational strategies
• Return on investment calculations for significant spends, providing a critical eye to major purchasing commitments. Guiding operational teams through purchasing decisions and internal compliance procedures.
• Weekly monitoring and reporting of the channels' advertising revenues, including channel performance and market changes, identifying risks and opportunities
• Oversight and presentation of all management reporting and ad hoc analysis, including of monthly P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow reports for all reporting lines, ensuring results reflect commercial reality of the business operations.
• Ability to pull out key takeaways for senior management and highlight possible implications for forecast.
• Review of monthly and quarterly reconciliations plus any supplementary SOX requests.
• Primary liaison with accounting Shared Services Centre, ensuring SCC are kept up-to-date on business activities and looped into operational conversations where appropriate.
• M&A activities as and when necessary, including Integration of new business launches/acquisitions
• Supporting new technology roll-outs and ensuring effective implementation for the business
Key Skills and Competencies:
• Commercially orientated with an ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders in a business facing role
• Ability to manage, manipulate and interpret large data volumes with a willingness to dive into the detail but be able to keep abreast of and present the macro-level impact
• Inquisitive about the TV channels business and approaches all issues with a problem-solving mindset
• Form collaborative working relationships with all outsourced/international finance functions
• Lead, motivate, develop and manage the performance of a Finance Analyst
• Deputize for the Finance Director as required
