Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Intern, CORP - Fall
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Intern, CORP - Fall 2018
The automation intern will work as a member of the Robotics Process Automation (RPA) team at Sony Pictures, reporting to the Lead Automation Specialist. The RPA team is comprised of a Team Lead, a Deputy Team Lead, a COE Manager, a Lead Automation Specialist and 9 Automation Specialists. The team's mission is to implement software ''robots'' to help the Finance organization improve the efficiency and accuracy of repetitive and standardized processes. Using BluePRISM software, sometimes fronted by Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, automation specialists create bots that replicate the manual steps required to perform the process, allowing the Finance team to focus on more value-add and analytical tasks. e.g. automatic processing of vendor PDF invoices into our financial SAP system. The RPA team is part of a broader Finance Transformation Department, which is comprised of multiple teams working on global projects aimed at optimizing finance processes.
The intern will be responsible for developing automation of Finance and/or IT processes. The intern will receive formal Blue Prism training and on the job coaching from the Lead Automation Specialist, COE Manager, and Deputy RPA Lead. The Automation Intern is responsible for attending process walk throughs, documenting the ''as-is'' process, and working with the Lead Automation Specialist to develop the technical design of the end to end automated solution. The intern will also work closely with the business and QA specialist to perform UAT, deploy processes into production, and perform hypercare support as required.
