Crackle TV Programming Intern, SPT - Fall 2018
Sony Crackle Programming is responsible for editorial curation of video content across Sony Crackle (30 devices). We drive packaging and branding for daily, weekly and monthly events (marathons, double-features, new series, original series, network premieres, etc.) and work closely with Marketing, Product and Operations to keep the network relevant to viewers and available across all touch points. We decide what, when, why and how you see entertainment on the network. In a nutshell: We make sure that Sony Crackle has your favorite movies, TV series and can't-miss handpicked Sony Crackle Originals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The internship with Sony Crackle Programming offers a 360 view of OTT network planning including production, development, planning and VOD scheduling.
Production:
• The intern will support the Director of Programming in all stages of producing THIS WEEK ON, Sony Crackle's weekly barker series. Activities include collaborating on series Pre-Production (script notes and episodic development), Production (Monthly shoot prep and on set days), post (cut notes, clearance) as well as internal meeting prep and cross functional communication
• Tracking production assets and deliverables
• Updating documents related to Original programming
• Attend 1x monthly Saturday shoot as a network PA
Programming:
• Support the Manager of Scheduling in maintaining network schedules and documents, including calendars, grids, and non-linear scheduling system
• Schedule large volume of acquired titles to drive engagement
• Assist in preparing Original Content launches (i.e. source titles and images for licensed and original content, help package together monthly network priorities)
• Monthly content QA to ensure that all titles are live in accordance to their right sets
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university for the duration of the internship and able to work part time
• Highly organized, resourceful, and dependable with excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a voluminous deadline-oriented department.
• Must be willing to take and follow directions.
• An interest and passion for entertainment and pop culture.
• Must be able to prioritize and ensure that all assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner
• Quantitative and data analytics skills are recommended
• Computer and technology literate; familiarity with Mac/PC operating systems and SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

This Fall internship is from Tuesday, September 11th - Friday December 14th but is flexible with start date based on school schedule. All candidates must be able to work between 10-29 hours and be currently enrolled in a college or university.
