Executive Producer, TV Creative Center
Executive Producer - Creative Center, Culver City
This position reports to the VP Production for Sony Pictures Television (SPT). This role will evangelize the ''One Sony'' philosophy and elevate the brand vision, voice, strategy for all Sony IP that will be pushed globally from this centralized model while helping build infrastructure, pipelines and protocol across the Global Brand Management Group and Creative Centers around the world. The purpose of this position is to oversee and lead the producing team including oversight of all active projects and project level management on key initiatives. Working closely with the VP Operations to develop and sustain the most collaborative, professional and effective production team possible to help the Creative Center service a growing group of internal Sony Pictures Entertainment partners and tentpole initiatives, such as but not limited to, Sony Pictures Television Studio, Franchise Marketing, International Sales and Distribution, Distribution Marketing, Theatrical, PR, Sony Networks across the globe, Sony Global Marketing, Syndication, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy!, social campaigns on all platforms. This position reports into VP Operations and works closely with the VP Production, VP Social/ Editorial, Creative Directors and SVP Brand Creative of the Global Internal Agency.

She/ he is adept at creating business models across brand that can scale, eliminate inefficiencies, maximize capabilities and ultimately elevate and unify our Sony brand voice across the globe in order to strengthen and scale our presence in the market. She/ he will pioneer a path for the businesses mentioned above who currently go outside for consultancy as well as collaborate with those businesses focusing on true client service and project management bringing best practices from the agency work.
Responsibilities:
20% Strategic Oversight and Leadership – Coach, mentor, and lead producers by offering guidance, answering questions and solving problems. Has a keen sense of what it takes to manage staff in day-to-day operations and career path including scheduled 1:1s with entire production staff. A strategic thinker that is adept at running cross-functional teams covering multiple disciplines. Provide structure and support, encourage, develop and inspire teams. Creatively problem solve in order to maintain flexibility and scalability for the department Work closely with the VP Operations, VP Social/ Editorial and Creative Directors to uphold a level of excellence and innovation within the Creative Center.
20% New Project Facilitation - Define project expectation and goals in collaboration with key project stakeholders and assist in the creation of project proposals as needed. Create, iterate, and track project timelines, deliverables, and budgets in order to achieve project alignment and approval. Work with VP Operations, VP Social/ Editorial, Creative Directors on creation of a creative brief. Build a detailed project plan, including internal pipeline considerations, budget, schedule, deliverables list, and creative team. Maintain a strong knowledge of the skill and attributes of the internal creative team's abilities and a roster of freelancers who can be brought in on a project-by-project basis. Expansive global roster is preferred.
20% Project Management - Proactively manage multiple, complex projects for Sony Pictures Entertainment partners/ business units. Oversee other producers and coordinators based on project needs and scale. Must be an effective liaison between various groups within Sony Pictures Entertainment as well as external agencies and vendors. Plan and schedule kick-offs, review sessions and presentations based on project schedule. Work closely with Creative Directors on the creation of daily assignments, review sessions and presentations to ensure projects stay on target. Create detailed notes and next steps. Responsible for daily project updates including but not limited to budget, schedule, resources, and progress on deliverables. Confirm all technical specifications are accurate throughout the project and all internal processes and workflows are maintained working closely with Operations. Ensure successful project delivery including actualized budget, internal archiving etc. Required to meet budgets and quick turnaround deadlines.
20% Communication and Collaboration – Collaborate with VP Operations, VP Production, VP Social/ Editorial for all department level needs. Be a positive team leader and an advocate for collaboration. Work closely and mentor junior members of the production team. Oversee project communication (internal and external) to ensure professional and friendly tone. Build a positive relationship throughout the project with constituents to ensure a desire for future work with the Sony Creative Center. Proactively anticipate and address project needs with appropriate solutions. Participate in review sessions and presentations to help further the overall project goals.
5% Maintain familiarity with current culture and design trends and strive to continue the Sony Creative Center as a department for cutting edge excellence and quality.
5% Exhibit a willingness to take on responsibilities outside of his/her job description and the ability to respond to business demands in a fast-paced environment.
Work Experience Requirements
• 7-9 years in production in marketing services, creative service agencies, network promotions or a similar field (broadcast, digital, print, experiential a plus)
• Primary skills include: excellent verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal and collaboration, problem solving, time and project management
• Prolific storyteller, innate sense of curiosity
• Ability to manage projects from concept through execution unsupervised
• Highly self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Passionate about original, acquired and library content and global branding initiatives
• Grace under pressure with a strong sense of collaboration
Desirable Requirements
Ability to work flexible hours.
Business acumen a strong plus.

Education

Bachelor Degree from 4 year college or university
