Director, Intersectional Marketing
This position provides dedicated support to the Senior Vice President, and helps the department ensure that all of SPE's motion picture marketing campaigns achieve maximum outreach to targeted multicultural and LGBT demographics. Position will interface with several theatrical marketing functions, including Creative Advertising, Digital, Social, Media, Partnerships, Research and Publicity to help ensure a targeted strategy is embedded in every facet of SPE's theatrical marketing campaigns. This role is suited for a targeted marketing professional with strong experience and in-depth knowledge of the cultural marketplace.
Job Description / Responsibilities
• Creative and strategic thinking with a solution-oriented, collaborative mindset and the ability to independently lead projects
• Manage day-to-day campaign activities, and serve as a contact with select marketing teams and agencies
• Communicate priorities and key programs to the teams and agencies that will execute against them
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with agencies, media, industry partners, thought leaders and influencers to help communicate SPE's targeted marketing messages
• Assist in creation of a wide range of internal communications materials, including strategy, plans, recaps and reports
• Work closely with SVP to remain attuned to the current media landscape and proactively guide team in identifying entities that align with Intersectional Marketing initiatives
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with staff, media partners, celebrities, influencers, community organizations, and vendors
• Participate in brainstorms sessions, contributing fresh, creative, and executable ideas
• Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and 5 years professional related experience in multicultural/targeted marketing
• Experience developing and executing marketing initiatives
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint)
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines simultaneously
• Excellent interpersonal skills in order to interface with key internal and external entities
• Highly creative and strategic; ability to generate ideas and execute against them
• High degree of enthusiasm combined with a problem solver mentality
• Possession of a professional and courteous demeanor
• Common sense, dependability, maturity, discretion and attention to detail
• Must be a self-starter with a team-player attitude
